    Ufuk Güneş Expert-Founder

    Ufuk Güneş is the founder of the web-site. He has been working in the field of Arms Control and Disarmament since 1997. He worked in 1997-2007 at the Disarmament and International Security Affairs Department of the Turkish Armed Forces, in 2007-2009 at the International Disarmament Deputy Diroctorate of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in 2009-2013 at the Permanent Mission of Turkey to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), in 2013-2015 again at the International Disarmament Deputy Diroctorate of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in 2015-2020 at the Permanent Mission of Turkey to the UN Office in Geneva (UNOG). He received his bachelor degree at Army Academy on business administration in 1987 and his master degrees at Seljuk University on business administration and public administration.

    Ramazan Ercan Expert

    Ramazan Ercan was graduated from Turkish War College in 1980. He has served in the Turkish Armed Forces with the consequtive ranks in the troops and the headquarters. During his service he has participated in some military courses in the USA. He also served at the NATO Headquater/Belgium between 1997-2000. Upon retirement as Liteutant Colonel in 2002 he began working for he Ministry of Foreign Affairs as the counselor for Arms Control and Disarmament. He has mainly worked at the Deputy Directorate of the OSCE, Arms Control and Disarmament. He also served at the Permanent Delegation of Turkey to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in 2005-2009 and Permanent Mission of Turkey to the UN Office at Geneva (UNOG) in 2011-2015. He is married and has two childeren. He speaks English and French.

    Dr. M. Selçuk Sancar Expert

    Dr. Malike Selçuk Sancar was born in İstanbul, in 1960. She gradauated from Ankara TED College (1978), Gazi University Faculty of Engineering (1982), Essex University (1992) and Bilkent University (1999). She served as electrical engineer in the Ministry of Construction Works (1983-1986), as EU expert in the Undersecteriat of the State Planning Organization (1986-1999) and as counsellor in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Department of International Security (1999-2012). After retirement from the civil service, she served as part-time lecturer in internationl security affairs. She has two children. She speaks English and French.

    Haldun Ererdem Expert

    Haldun Ererdem graduated from the War College in 1972 and the Faculty of Political Sciences of Ankara University in 1982 and completed his master studies at Gazi University in 1998. Until 1998, he worked at artillery units and information systems branches of the Turkish Armed Forces, including NATO Headquarters, Brussels. He retired from the Armed Services in 1998 and joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey as adviser for arms control and disarmament issues. After joining the ministry, he worked at the Arms Control and Disarmament Department of the MFA between 1998-2001, 2005-2007 and 2011-2013 and the Turkish Permanent Mission to the OSCE, Vienna (2001-2005 and 2013-2017) on conventional arms control and disarmament issues and the Embassy of Turkey to the Netherlands (2007-2011) on chemical weapons issues.

    Mesut Ekren Expert

    Graduate of Air Technical School (1982) and Anadolu University Faculty of Business Administration (2000). He served as commander of company and battalion at military units and headquarters of the Air Force Command. He also served in Kosovo (2001), in Bosnia (2002), in Macedonia (2003), in Lebanon (2007) and in Afghanistan (2010) as a member of NATO and United Nations Humanitarian Aid Activities. During his active service, he fulfilled Decontamination of Explosives (EOD/IED), Minefield Observation, EOD-MEDEVAC, Humanitarian mine clearance, Collection of illegal weapons and explosives (Harvest), Battle Area Cleaning (BAC), Civil Military cooperation and Unit disarmament officer tasks. In the Ministry of National Defence, he served as the Head of Organization Department (2016-2018), Head of National Mine Action Centre (TURMAC) Quality Management Department (2018-2020) and Deputy Head of TURMAC.
